Follow the Steps Carefully:
1) Choose any pastel colored yarn of at least 12 oz in weight.
2) Practice knitting on one square or two and see what size you prefer.
3) Begin by casting on 120 stitches and knit on 10 rows in order to make the blanket’s border. (If you don’t know how, watch tutorial videos about basic knitting.)
4) Work on the next rows from one to ten as follows:
Row 1: Knit 7, mark it to determine the side border, purl on the remaining 7 stitches and mark on it, then knit 7.
Row 2: Knit the entire row.
Row 3: Knit 7, purl to the marker, place on another mark, then knit 7.
Row 4: Knit the entire row.
Row 5: Do the same knitting as done on row 3.
Rows 6 up to 10: Knit the entire rows.
5) Repeat the step 5 in a total of 14 times and end it on row 5. Knit the 10 rows as done in step 4 and then cast off the knitting.
Knitting Patterns Tips:
- Purchase larger size of yarn if you plan on creating a larger blanket. Reserve some extra yarn in case you make a mistake on knitting.
- The use of acrylic yarn with the weight of light to medium can work nicely on this pattern.
